Well, that was another interesting week in the NFL.............
So many unfathomable results following on from a dodgy Week 7.
There were two games that went 100% to plan, (Steelers/Patriots and Lions/Broncos).
The rest were a mixed bag except for the RAMS game that was a total shock to everyone.

FREE NFL PICKS WEEK 7 REVIEW

Well there is always one week in the first half of the season that trips us up.
For a few years when I was first developing the Eagleseye System it always seemed to be week 6.
Last year it was week 5, when I distinctly remember sitting in the Sportsbook miserably watching the games unfold in an unfathomable fashion.  This year it was Week 7.

Raiders 0 points last week.  Saints 62 points against the Colts. Ravens 7 pts in a 19 point game against the Jags.  Titans getting mothered by the Texans. Seahawks and Browns in a 9 point THRILLER.
CHOKERS, I mean Chargers getting pipped at the post by the Jets.  WHAT A WEEK !!!!!!

If it wasn't for a couple of exotics anchored by the 3 LOCKS OF THE WEEK, (PITT -3.5 and GB MN OVER and DALLAS -12), we would have REALLY handed back a serious chunk of our hard earned profit year to date.  However we are still focused and positive financially for the season, (actually ahead of last year at this point), so on we go.  Generics for this week will be up either possibly later tonight or definitely tomorrow.

Another Decent Money Making Week for the Eye

Generic picks went 58% despite some odd performances.
Eagleseye Silver had a great week at 71.43%

Great traffic on the blog this month so the word is spreading and the faithful are growing in numbers.

There is more serious money to be made this week as long as you avoid the traps that the oddsmakers have disguised amongst this weeks lines and totals.

RAMS V PACKERS
The Packers are just too strong for the Rams.  Put them in Green Bay on a crisp Autumn afternoon and you are going to see all the Lambeau Leaps you will ever want to see.  Packers average 45 at home this year and will breach 40 again this week.  We are GB - 14.5 and OVER 48

BILLS V GIANTS
This is a significant game for the Giants.  A big let down against Seattle last week.  They will want to bounce back.  Bills are enjoying the season immensely and have only failed when the come up against a quality defence.  This game could go one of two ways.  A very tight game that goes down to the wire and perhaps OT or the Bills win by 10. We are leaning on the former and the game is decide by a field goal so we take BILLS +3.5 and UNDER 50

COLTS V BENGALS
The only question here is can the Bengals offence score enough to cover the spread.
The short answer is YES.  We take the BENGALS -7 and UNDER 40.5

PANTHERS V FALCONS
This has the potential to be one of the most interresting games of the weekend.  Newton in the Georgia Dome should be fun to watch.  Carolina has a tendancy to play up to (and down to) the performance of their opposition.  But they have covered every week except week one when they tied the 7 given to them by the Cardinals.  This week the EYE sees them covering again so we are PANTHERS +4 and we are UNDER the bloated 50.5

NINERS V LIONS
There is strong speculation that this could be the end of the Lions winning streak.  This is the toughest challenge that they have faced this season.  However the Lions are also the toughest challenge that the Niners have faced.  They squeaked past Philly and were not challenged at all by Tampa last week.
EAGLESEYE sees the Lions outscore SF in a shootout and cover.  We are LIONS -4 and OVER 46

EAGLES V REDSKINS
This could be a real scrap.  Philly need to win this game and will need to get to Grossman to expose his many weaknesses.  We are EAGLES -2.5 and UNDER 47

JAGS V STEELERS
Last weeks Steeler performance might have been an overachievement but the Jags are not showing signs of improvement.  In fact the opposite is probably true.  Take the STEELERS -13 and UNDER 40

FREE NFL PICKS WEEK 5 REVIEW

We knew that this was a tough week and it certainly proved to be that way.
In the Minefield of the generic picks we were slightly above .500
On the system side it was a very good week.  GOLD picks were 2 of 4 because the Packers recievers decided to drop a couple of crucial passes and the Titans defence decided to have an unscheduled BYE week.  However SILVER picks went an impressive 8 and 3 or 73%.  We also had two MONEYLINE MONEYMAKERS in the Bengals and the Bills.  So we still cashed nicely at the window and added to our warchest.
EAGLESEYE GOLD is running 63% on the Season so far, (OVER/UNDER GOLD is running 77%), and we are only getting stronger and more confident as the data refines.

What a great week for the Eagleseye.

Our INNER SANCTUM information was red hot last week.

Last week we finally got some defences to show up.
However, the Vikings didn't show so KC got their first win.
Packers roll again.  Patriots resumed normal service.
Great comeback by the Lions, and Buffalo finally run into a defence.
Baltimore take a week off this week to analyze why they were playing like they were down 17 points instead of ahead by 17.  There was a questionable call to give the Giants a win and a persistent Tampa Bay team wore down the Colts on Monday Night after the Colts look like they have found a way to look decent without their leader on the field.

I know we don't deal with College football here but what a nice win for LSU last night.
-5.5 was too good to pass up but they covered in style. 
Here is some up to the minute commentary on the line moves on the NFL schedule.

I hope you were able to get Baltimore -3.5
Most books are Ravens -5 as I type.
Don't worry, that is still not enough.
You can stop laying the lumber when it gets to -6.5 LOL
Eagles are -8.5 and even -9 in some spots.  More insurance for the correct pick which is NYG and anything over 6.
Looks like the money is expecting the Bears Defence to show up in Chicago against the Packers this afternoon also.  Over Under now 45.  Over is the best play here because unless a miracle happens its going to be touch to keep the Packers under 30 points in ANY game this year.  Look for 50 points in this game with the Packers having at least 60% of them.
Still no definitive direction on the Monday Night game but in a few places you can get -6.5 Dallas 45.5 for the O/U.  We are still Redskins and Under at this time.

Week 2............What can I say.
Carolina's Hot start against the Packers. Ravens laid an egg.
Chiefs cannot come out and play this season. Redskins squeaker against the Cards.  Bears don't like playing indoors.  Raider/Bills slugfest.  Another nail in the Colts coffin.  Never say die Buccaneers.  Where was that Giant Team in Week 1.
Oh well, enough with the excuses and on to Week 3.

FREE NFL PICKS 2011/12 NFL DIVISIONAL PROJECTIONS

Good Evening Sportsfans

Just thought I would throw these into the mix while we are waiting for the new season to start.
8 Days to the New Orleans V Green Bay Thursday Night Extravaganza at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

The Eagleseye will be on the ground in Las Vegas Nevada for this opening weekend, making sure we get the bankroll for this season off ot a flying start.  The data is compiled and the opening weekend's picks are percolating through the software and will be published over the weekend.

A close one here but STEELERS should outlast the Ravens.
An EVEN money proposition.

AFC SOUTH
Another close one.  The Eagleseye see's a little bit of an upset here with HOUSTON taking the top spot. 9/5 (+180) is a decent wager here.

AFC EAST
Who else but the PATRIOTS at 2/3 (-150).  You might not even be able to find these odds.

AFC WEST
CHARGERS will hold off the Chiefs quite easily. 5/12 (-240)

NFC NORTH
Reigning Champion PACKERS winning easily. 5/11 (-220)

NFC SOUTH
FALCONS hold off the SAINTS here. 6/5 (+120)

NFC EAST
EAGLES will fly over the Giants this season. 5/7 (-140)

NFC WEST
Eagleseye is taking the RAMS this season because the 49rs are going to fall apart this year. 37/20 (+185). 7 wins will be enough in this miserable division.

DEFINITIVE GUIDANCE WIN TOTALS PART TWO

Good Evening Sportsfans
I hope you enjoyed my AFC breakdown from yesterday.  Here is the analysis for the NFC.  Vegas Win Totals are stated after the teams name.

NFC NORTH

CHICAGO     8.5 WINS
The Bears had a decent season last year but could not handle the Packers.  Also the 11 wins from last year included a very dodgy win at home against Detroit.  That being said, they have the easiest schedule in the NFC North and have a respectable 11 Power Rating.  8.5 wins seems too close for comfort as the Eagleseye sees 9 for the Bears this year.
If you cannot stay away from the Bears the correct call is OVER, but there are much easier places to make money without all the risk.

DETROIT     7.5 WINS
Perhaps the unluckiest team in the league last year.  6 wins was not a lot to show for the effort.  The Lions are an improved team this year and although they have a tough schedule they should get out of the basement this year.  Eagleseye see's an 8 locked, 9 probable and 10 possible for the Lions.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK          TAKE THE OVER

GREEN BAY    11 WINS
Concensus Power Rating 2, 13th ranked Strength of Schedule.  The Pack are going to have a tough time topping that practically flawless run in to the Superbowl last year.  Must win situations week after week.  This is a well managed, well organized team with all the weapons to win any game.
This is a no risk pick because 11 wins would be a bitter disappointment for the Green and Gold and well within this teams ability. But....... with everyone looking to knock down the Superbowl Champions, it is going to be one toughy after another.
Eagleseye sees 12 for the Packers so we are over with minimum wagers.

MINNESOTA    6.5 WINS
The weakest Power Rating of this tough bunch (18) and a 10th ranked Strength of Schedule.  The Vikings are heading for the basement and they will  not break the 6.5 in the eyes of the Eagle.  However 6 looks like the number so we are staying away from this wager.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION

NFC SOUTH

ATLANTA      10 WINS
The jewel of the South.  Falcons had 12 wins last year.  They are improved.  The schedule is soft and they have an exciting balance of explosive offence and solid, disciplined defence.  11 is locked, 12 is probable and 13 is possible.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK     TAKE THE OVER

CAROLINA     4.5 WINS
How did the weakest team in the league end up with the toughest schedule.  If this line was 5 we would be up to our necks in this but with 3 probable and 4 possible, this significantly downgrades the strength of our pick.  2 wins last year might end up being repeated this year but we cannot bring ourselves to add any weight to the pick.
Eagleseye says TAKE THE UNDER but don't bet the ranch.

NEW ORLEANS     10 WINS
The Saints have a a solid concensus 6 Power Rating and a 13th ranked Strength of Schedule.  11 wins last year looks to be well within the capabilities of this team.  12 would not be a surprise and with a little luck 13 could happen.  Eagleseye sees a good times a "rollin" in New Orleans this year.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK     TAKE THE OVER

TAMPA BAY     8 WINS
Tampa Bay have a relatively harmless schedule and they are starting the season pretty much where they left off last year.  Battling for the best record of the 3 Florida Teams, we might see a couple of surprises.  Eagleseye thinks that Vegas got this one right. 7 locked, 8 probable, 9 possible.
No confidence here so Eagleseye says No ACTION.

NFC EAST

DALLAS         9 WINS
Lots of eyes on Dallas this year.  Underachievers last year, reasonable schedule this year.  High scoring new stadium, unfortunately too many of those points are scored by the visitors.  Eagleseye sees more W's than last year but the number is probably 9.  If you want to stray from the guidance just to enjoy a wager, GO UNDER.  (Hint:  Vegas usually gets bigger money on the Cowboys so they usually pay special attention to balance the money).
Eagleseye says the oddsmakers are right.  NO ACTION is the correct play.

NEW YORK GIANTS     9 WINS
10 wins last year and Power ranked 10.  There are not many people around that think the Giants are not good for another 10 this year.  Eagleseye see 10 for the Giants and if the schedule was a little weaker he might have stuck is neck out a little further.  10 is locked and loaded for the NYG and 11 would not shock to the Eagleseye.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK     TAKE THE OVER

PHILADELPHIA     9.5 WINS
Eagles on paper look like the most improved team this year. 2010 Power Rating was 10, concensus rating puts them at 4 with an average schedule.  Las Vegas does not seem to be buying the hype because they won 10 last year.  I have seen one prediction of 9 but most are 10's, and 11's.
Eagleseys says 10 would be a let down.  11 is a lock, 12 is probable and 13 is possible.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK    TAKE THE OVER

WASHINGTON     6.5 WINS
As the Eagles rise the Redskins fall.  Despite the weak schedule, 7 wins are not in the future of this team.  Have not improved this off season, weak defence and anemic offense.  If the Skins are the luckiest team in the league this year they will win 6.  3 or 4 are probable, 2 is possible.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK               TAKE THE UNDER

NFC WEST

ARIZONA        5.5 WINS
Eagleseye see's the Cardinals as an improved team this year.  Easiest schedule in the NFL and only being asked to improve one game from the 5 of last season.  The correct number here according to Eagleseye is 6 but there can be no confidence to take much of a risk.
Eagleseye says take the OVER if you must, but we prefer the action elsewhere.

SAN FRAN      7.5 WINS
This team is not as good as it thinks it is.  Weak Team, Weak Schedule.  6 wins last season and nothing to make the Eagle believe that there are more wins to come this season.
Concensus Power Rating is 31 for this team.  Eagleseye says 7 is a pipe dream. 6 Nah. 5 Possible. 4 Probable.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK       TAKE THE UNDER

SEATTLE         6.5 WINS
Seahawks are not easy to read again this year.  They are a team with a lot of questions and the stats do not contain the answers.  Eagleseye analysis says 7 is possibly the number but 6 is probably the number.
EAGLESEYE does not gamble and this is a gamble.  NO ACTION

ST LOUIS         7 WINS
Another hats off to the oddsmakers.  7 is probably the number here.  As with the Seahawks, the Rams are another bad team with a soft schedule, but nothing in the tea leaves to give us any reason to risk it.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION.  Stick to the Gold and Silver Predictions.

FREE NFL PICKS WIN TOTALS 2011

Here is the final word on win totals for the 2011/2012 NFL season.
There is planty of data out regarding Strength of Schedule, Draft Ratings and Free Agent Moves, so the EAGLESEYE is confident that we are on track here.
Consistent with the system's strategy regarding Margin of Error, the Gold and Silver Picks look very strong, and are only proposed when we have plaenty of cushion.
As I stated in my previous post, when you collect your winnings next January, put some aside for the purchase of this guidance next year, because it will not be free.

DEFINITIVE GUIDANCE (PART ONE)
(Vegas win total is stated after team name)

AFC NORTH

BALTIMORE 10.5 WINS
Ravens have a concensus power rating of about 7.  Had 12 wins last year and should have a very good year again this year.  The clincher here is that they have the second weakest schedule which makes 13 a likely total.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK           TAKE THE OVER

CINCINNATI 7 WINS
Despite the weak schedule, the Bengals have long season ahead of them.  Concensus power rating is 25 and they are unlikely to improve on the 5 wins from last year.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK       TAKE THE UNDER

CLEVELAND 7 WINS
The Eagleseye feels sorry for the Browns this year.  On paper they do not look as good as they were last year.  They have the lowest power rating (29) and the highest (19) strength of schedule in the AFC North.  The best they will do this year is 5 wins.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK        TAKE THE UNDER

PITTSBURGH 11 WINS
Steelers look solid again this year.  They will probably end up with the #1 defence in the NFL again and that will win them a lot of games.  Concensus power rating is 3 and they have the 27th weakest schedule.  A repeat of last years 12 wins seems to be locked and loaded for this year and they should improve on that based on the weaker schedule.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK        TAKE THE OVER

AFC SOUTH

HOUSTON      8 WINS
Houston finished week 17 last year with a power rating of 25 and 6 wins.  They are obviously a better team this year but how much better is hard to predict.  Eagleseye gives them a power rating of around 17 but they have a fairly tough schedule (10).  7 wins are locked, 8 wins are probable and 9 wins are possible. BUT we do not risk our hard earned profits on potential.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION.

INDIANAPOLIS    9.5 WINS
Colts are looking precarious to the Eagle this year.  They appear to be a little weaker than last year and have dropped to 12 in the concencus power rating.  They also have a #3 ranked strength of schedule so on paper it looks like one less win than the 10 from last year.
Eagleseye says 9 is the number so we are UNDER but no margin of error to give us any confidence.

JACKSONVILLE 6.5 WINS
Jags have a #3 ranked strength of schedule like the Colts and are ranked around 23 on concensus power rankings.  Vegas has them pegged 1.5 wins below 2010's total of 8.  They should not breach the 6 mark and hopefully will win 5 at most.
Eagleseye says UNDER but again like the Colts, we do not have enough margin of error to justify laying the lumber on the Jags.

TENNESSEE 7 WINS
Titans are another team that appear to be weaker than 2010.  They won 6 last year but have a weaker schedule this year (23).  Power ranking is around 20.  Eagle sees 7 as the absolute maximum number of wins that the Titans will achieve this year so this is a relatively safe investment.  However, we do not want to tie up our bankroll in wagers that could end up in a tie.  If you can get 7.5 then thats a different story.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION

AFC EAST

BUFFALO 5.5 WINS
It looks like the Bills are going to be relatively relable this year.  By that I mean that they are going to be quite predictable.  Hopefully the Eagleseye is correct about that, then we will be able to exploit the lines on the Buffalo games.
Tough schedule (3).  Poor power rating (27).  The Eagleseye sees 4 on the cards for the Bills and we have lots of company.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK          TAKE THE UNDER

MIAMI    7.5 WINS
The Dolphins did not do themselves any favors in the off season.  They slipped 4 spots in the power ratings to 19 and have a schedule that is ranked 10th.  We have seen one pundit that is touting 10 wins for the fish this year and I do not know where that is coming from.  However, it appears that our prediciton is not going to leave too much margin of error.
Eagleseye says 7 possible, 6 probable so we are UNDER but caution is recommended.

NEW ENGLAND   11.5 WINS
Consensus Power Ranking #1.  Strength of Schedule #15.  14 wins last year.  Slight improvement in the off season.  Eagleseye sees 12 as a lock, 13 as a probable and 14 as a possible.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK    TAKE THE OVER

NEW YORK JETS  10 WINS
Conventional wisdom is that the Jets are not improved over last year.  However, there are not many sports journalists willing to give up on them.  Power rank is 10 ish and they have a tough schedule.  11 wins last year and there will be 11 wins this year.
Eagleseye says take the OVER but keep it reasonable.

AFC WEST

DENVER          5 WINS
The Broncos are under construction and a running into a tough schedule this year.  Too early to tell if there are going to be any signs of dramatic improvement. 4 wins last year and their schedule was a little easier.  Eagleseye says 3 wins might be the number here and 4 would not be a surprise so we have a little cushion.
THIS IS A SILVER PICK      TAKE THE UNDER

KANSAS CITY    7.5 WINS
Hail to the Chiefs, I mean the Oddsmakers, they have taken the wiggle room out of this wager.  KC might win more than 8 this year, but a tougher schedule than 2010 makes 9 wins a bit of a pipe dream.  Therefore this is too tight.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION is the right move here.

OAKLAND     7 WINS
The Raiders are not the team they were last year. Far from it.  24 is their generous concensus power rating.  19 is their strength of schedule.  The Eagleseye does not see anything in the stats that would lead us to believe that 7 wins are achievable.  4 is probable, 5 is possible, 6 would be an achievement.
THIS IS A GOLD PICK     TAKE THE UNDER

SAN DIEGO    9.5 WINS
The Chargers are the cream of this AFC West crop.  Power rating 9 but a relatively tough schedule.
9 wins last season and that might turn into a 10 or remain a 9 this season.  Too tight for an investment, unless you want to wager on them winning the AFC West, which is a lock.  Good luck finding that action.
Eagleseye says NO ACTION unless you have money to burn.

There you have the AFC.  2 SOLID GOLDS and 6 SOLID SILVER
Strength of schedule in the AFC on average appears to be tougher than the NFC, so we can have a little more fun with the NFC.
The Eagleseye NFC picks include 4 SOLID GOLD PICKS and 3 SOLID SILVER PICKS.

The guidance given on August 5th on this blog was decent but we are about to release the definitive guidance for all 32 teams.
This will be the last year that this is given away for free so I hope you are able to profit from it and bank some cash to purchase this guidance next year.

It is interesting to watch some of the strategies and scrimmaging going on on the pre-season football fields.  However I feel that I am running the risk of damaging the EAGLESEYE's great reputation by throwing the proverbial **** againat the wall.
I do not want some of the new and most welcome readers of the EAGLESEYE to think that this is guesswork.  Therefore, we will not be prognosticating on the rest of the pre-season schedule.
However, as we get closer to the start of the season, I will be providing some guidance that will make the season most interesting.

FREE NFL PRE_SEASON PICKS

First of all I want to thank you all for the significant increase in traffic on this blog.
I deliberately try to make this a quick and efficient read and it appears that like the EAGLESEYE system, it is working.

Because this system is UNEMOTIONAL and strictly based on statistical analysis, I do not get bogged down with details and hype that other sites get involved in.  However I will add detail and commentary that will enhance your enjoyment and clarify certain situations if necessary.

OVER 33 would be the way to go here

PACKERS +2 versus the Browns
Take the OVER 35.5

Monday Nights game should be fun to watch.
Probably a higher scoring affair,
Take the JETS +2.5 against HOUSTON and OVER 34.5

OK OK I know it has been a long time since the Superbowl and I know some of you are salivating over the prospect of some NFL action coming up this month.  Well, I strongly discourage laying the lumber on pre-season games.  There are 800 numbers and support groups for these people. 
That being said, just for sport, if you are going to sacrifice a few dollars just to make it interesting, here is a little guidance for you.

The Eagleseye has performed a detailed analysis of every NFL regular season game and has established win totals for each of the 32 NFL teams.
By comparing the Eagleseye number to the Vegas totals, we have found some glaring errors.

Just like the Politicians that infest that city, they are bad, very very bad.

12 wins last year should blow through 10 nicely

GOLD #6        TENNESSEE TITANS              UNDER 7 WINS
No way they even win the 6 they won last year.

GOLD #7        DENVER BRONCOS               UNDER 5.5 WINS
Rebuilding or just falling apart ? 5.5 is more than a mile high for this team.

GOLD #8        PITTSBURGH STEELERS      OVER 11 WINS
Unless Big Ben gets jailed for Rape, this is going to be another solid STEEL CITY season.

GOLD #9       GREEN BAY PACKERS          OVER 11 WINS
The Pack should provide a handsome defense of the Lombardi Trophy.

SILVER #10   BALTIMORE RAVENS          OVER 10.5 WINS
Should keep the Steelers in their sights all season in the AFC North.

SILVER #11  JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS   UNDER 6.5 WINS
Disappointing year ahead for the Jags.  Tampa are the pride of Florida again this season.

SILVER #12  PHILADELPHIA EAGLES      OVER 9.5 WINS
Eagles will win NFC East this year and will win several more games than 9.5 to do it.

SILVER #13   NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS  OVER 11.5 WINS
14 wins last year and probably another 14 this season for Brady and the Gang.

SILVER #14   TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS  OVER 8 WINS
Will finish third in the division again but should repeat the 10 wins of last season.

SILVER #15    NEW ORLEANS SAINTS       OVER 10 WINS
Heated battle again in this division and another solid season in the big easy.

SILVER #16    MIAMI DOLPHINS                 UNDER 7.5 WINS
What can we say, 6 might be a stretch for the stinky fish.

SILVER #17    BUFFALO BILLS                    UNDER 5.5 WINS
The Bills will spend the entire season in the basement.

SILVER #18    CAROLINA PANTHERS        UNDER 4.5 WINS
Some experts have Carolina at 1 win this year.  The Eagleseye sees 3 maximum.

The strike is over and we can now concentrate on preparation for the new season.
The Over/ Under win totals are out and just like my lock of the year last year Browns less then 6.5
I will be sorting the data and making the predictions very soon.
The Eagleseye had its most profitable season ever last year and there is no reason why we cannot improve upon this record breaking performance.

For those of you that were members of the inner sanctum last year, I hope you can find a new bookie because your man will probably not want your action this year.  He is still trying to recover from the beating he took last season.

Enough with the gloating.  Now we have safely tucked away our profits in some tangible commodity like Silver or Gold coinage, or invested in some undervalued but perfectly located, real estate, it is time to go to work on next years retirement contribution.
There is some interesting moving and shaking going on personnel wise, so we are going to put aside the lines that are out right now until the homework is done although there are some glaring mistakes.

FREE NFL PICKS SUPERBOWL UPDATE

We are only a few hours away from Kick Off and there is a frenzy of activity on the wagering front.
The Las Vegas sportsbooks with the exception of South Point are holding at 2.5 at -120 Packers and the over has moved to 45.5 almost everywhere.  Most of the offshore boooks have the packers at -3.
The South Point sportsbook is attracting a lot of Pittsburgh money to offset the Green Bay load by bouncing back and forthe between 2.5, 3 and 3.5.  Interesting strategy and if you like the Steelers 3.5 would be awesome value.
Handle is expected to be boosted by almost 20 Million Dollars this weekend and the Sportsbooks are filling up in anticipation of what should be a great game.
Personally I am sticking with the Packers to cover  nicely and the Over to be succesfully breached. As long as McCarthy does not get ahead and go into the prevent defence.  Teams that score 27 or more points are 22-1 Straight up and 19-3-1 ATS and the Packers have the weapons to continue that overwhelming statistic.

FREE NFL PICKS SUPERBOWL ANALYSIS

Before I go forward with my analysis of the Superbowl I want to provide a disclaimer.  This is NOT the Eagleseye pick.  We have run the numbers and there is not enough security to make a GOLD OR SILVER pick on this years Main Event.
As I said yesterday, the early money was for the Pack and that is being met with some balance now in Las Vegas even though there was a 1 MILLION DOLLAR WAGER placed with the MGM yesterday on Green Bay -2.5.  There has also been some serious money wagered on the UNDER and that number will probably move lower in the next few hours.
Initially the Sportsbooks were salivating at the possibility that this game would prove to be the heaviest wagered in history, surpassing the 94.5 Million wagered in 2006.  (The recession has cut that number significantly in the past few years).  However the current projections are closer to 85 million.  This is Vegas only of course, it doesnt include offshore or Office Pool money.
Lets get back to next Sunday's contest.
As I said yesterday, I do not think we have seen the best game from each of these teams and they are both facing their most competent opponents of the season.  When you try to compare the Steelers and Packers on recent performances, there are some distinct differences that will have implications on Sunday.  It is these differences that cannot be seen with statistical analysis, (hence no eagleseye selection), but appears relatively obvious upon detailed review.
I could go on for pages and pages laying out this game as it MIGHT play out but lets cut to the chase and see how it WILL play out.

GREEN BAY WILL WIN THIS GAME BY AT LEAST 7 POINTS.
THE GAME WILL GO OVER THE CURRENT 44.5 POINTS
Here's why.
Green Bay have been in the "MUST WIN" mindset since their narrow loss to the Patriots in Week 15.
Since then they have disposed of the Giants (Power Rank 10) 45-17.  Chicago (Power Rank 2), Philly (Power Rank 11), Atlanta (Power Rank 6), Chicago again (Power Rank 3).  Each time they have had an excellent, well executed game plan and different pieces of the team have stepped up to pull out the win.

McCarthy has not played an all out game since the Patriots and they went into New England on a Sunday night, threw down the gauntlet with an onside kick to start the game and almost beat the Power Ranked Number 1 team in a 27-31 barnburner.  Even in the Atlanta game, the Packers put the Falcons away in the Second Quarter.  Had two long outatanding drives in the 3rd quarter and basically containd and stiff-armed the opponent in the fourth.  This is a very well efficent team with a versatile arsenal of weapons and a very competent coaching staff that knows exactly what they are capable of.

Green Bay will abandon a concerted running game and pull out all their offensive weapons, some of which have not been seen yet.  They will expose the holes in the Steelers secondary and that injury to the Pouncey will aid the Packers.  As long as Rodgers does not take a helmet to the jaw early in the game and gets time to check down the pass options, we will see a clinic on Sunday.

Defences get teams to the Superbowl and sometimes they can win Superbowls but these teams are so evenly matched on the line they will cancel each other out.  The one area that is going to be a surprise in this game is that in order to run clock, the pack are going to have to pass, YES PASS.  Running 3 times up the middle for 2 yards a carry is not going to get this done, and they know it.  Therefore the Packers will be playing a very open game so it should be very enjoyable to watch.

As Pittsburgh get behind, Pittsburghs Number 7 will be forced to take more risks.  This is something that Pittsburgh, while being a very capable team, are just not used to doing.  In part, because they have not really needed to do so.  Even in the Baltimore game where a bad first quarter had them playing catch up, they had the game in hand and were so obviously the better team.  Mendenhall is a scary player, and Ward is dangerous but as long as they don't let his trash talk get under their skin, the Packers should be able to contain and outscore.  Getting to Roethlisberger is key but he's a big target and not as agile as Vick or Ryan and they have disposed of them already.
